Welcome
We extend a warm welcome to all of the new faculty
members joining Washington State University. We are
pleased by the addition this year of 42 individuals in
WSU’s academic colleges, libraries, and
Extension. There are new faculty on all four of our
campuses and at several of our research and extension
locations statewide.
Some are just beginning their careers in academe,
assuming their first tenure-track appointments, and
others are already nationally and internationally known
scholars. All, however, have arrived with impressive
plans for research and scholarship that will enrich our
community and enhance our students’ learning
experiences.
On the following pages you will read brief highlights
of their academic credentials, research interests, and
some recent accomplishments. From across the country
and all over the globe, these scholars have chosen to
join with faculty, students, and staff here at
Washington State University to make a remarkable
difference in the world.
